OUR STORY
Dance Attack (DA) is a Dance School based in Sutton Coldfield, holding weekly dance classes for youths, aged 5-18+ years. We provide children with solid foundations in dance, whilst aiding both their mental and physical wellbeing through fun and engaging sessions. Founded by Rachel Linthwaite, Dance Attack is proud to have been running for the last 20 years and we have achieved many successes during this time.
DA Dancers have achieved numerous Gold and Silver and first place positions during competitions entered with The International Dance Teachers Association.
Our examination results have continued to be outstanding during the regular sessions we have held. Our students have gained Highly Commended and Honours in all Dance styles.
We have always achieved fantastic feedback and reports from every examiner. Dance Attack students have been lucky enough to be nominated for Freestyle scholarships following our examination sessions.
Our students & Teachers have had numerous and regular performance opportunities over the years performing in various Shows, events and concerts such as; 'Footloose' and 'Grease' at the Alexander Theatre. They have also performed in Productions at The Rep Theatre and The Old Rep Theatre. Students have taken part in regular performances at The Birmingham hippodrome with 'Chance2dance' which they have all enjoyed immensely.
DA Team members have proved to be current in todays market as their recent appearances in the following prestigious events show; Dancing at Free Radio Live main stage 3 years running, Fashion shows such as The Wireless festival, B-Town 2014, The Elite Fashion show for the past 2 years, Catwalk events for The Teenage Cancer Trust, 'Love Music, hate Racism events and 'King' tribute at The mac Theatre. This is along with performances at Cadbury world and The MViSA Awards at The ICC.
Our Students have the opportunity to take part in our annual school production which gives students the chance to showcase their talents and gain performance experience. These performances are held within a Theatre and performance space environment.

THE DA TEAM
All DA Instructors and Choreographers are fully DBS checked. They are fully experienced in the genre that they teach and in their work with young people. Several members of the team hold Dance/Performance related degrees and qualifications along with Dance Teacher Training degrees. Instructors also hold various Fitness/Gymnastic and Yoga qualifications. Our main DA team are all experienced performers with Dance, Musical Theatre or Coaching back grounds. The DA Team are working currently within the Dance Industry performing in various concerts, shows and events. We welcome new upcoming choreographers who hold workshops with us on a regular basis. All of the DA Team are passionate in sharing their skills and love of Dance to inspire young people to be creative and increase in confidence.
